Anti-human trafficking campaign — Operation Pentameter

Advertising Campaign

Senior Art Director — Led concept, design and execution of a multi-language poster campaign to reach victims of human trafficking at UK entry points.

Project Summary

Developed a series of arresting, highly visible posters designed to deliver a clear message — even to someone who doesn’t speak English. The concept was simple, direct and emotionally impactful. Cast actors (paid), scouted real locations and created versions in Russian, Polish, Romanian, Latvian and Lithuanian — aimed directly at the nationalities most at risk.

The challenge

Create a clear, urgent public awareness campaign against human trafficking — one that would work across six languages and appear in high-traffic transport hubs without causing panic or confusion.

My role

As Art Director I refined both visuals and copy to ensure messages were direct, culturally sensitive and instantly understandable. The posters appeared in London airports, Eurostar terminals and international bus stations. The work was later adopted by the Irish police. After completing the campaign, I explored how its message could be extended through motion by creating a speculative AI-assisted video — not for deployment, but to test emotional pacing and narrative clarity.

The outcome

The campaign delivered its message with dignity and precision — earning formal recognition from the Metropolitan Police and proving that design can serve public safety when clarity and compassion lead the way.
